When you arrived at Tribhuwan International Airport, a representative from Open Trail will be there holding your group name or leader name. He will drop you at the hotel. After checking in, you can take a rest or visit Open Trail’s office in Thamel either you can shop in Thamel. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Open Trail treks where you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine. This is a great introduction to Nepalese food culture.

We will begin our second day with breakfast before starting a guided tour of some of the historical and religious sites of Kathmandu. Which are listed as World Heritage Sites. We will visit Kathmandu Darbar Square, Buddhist Stupa (Buddha Nath), Hindus secret temple Pashupati Nath. We will end our tour by visiting the Monkey temple – Swayambhunath. In the middle of the tour, we will take you to a very special local restaurant for lunch.
After we finish the tour we will meet our trekking guide and leader for discussion and preparation for our following day's trekking.

After breakfast in the early morning, we set off for the long drive to Jiri. It is about 200 km east-north of Kathmandu. It takes us about 7 hours due to the bumpy mountain road. During the drive, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the green mountain, villages, rivers, and fields. It is a great introduction to the landscape of the mountains of Nepal. From Jiri, we continue our driving to the place where our trekking actually begins i.e. Bhandar. We will spend overnight at Bhandar.

We begin our day trekking downhill passing through the thick forest to the Surma Khola. We also pass small settlement of Dokharpa and Baranda. We ascend from Surma khola and continue to the Likhu valley. Further we climb up to the Kenja village. From here, we take small steep ascend and steady uphill and arrive at Sete.

Today, the trekking begins with ascending uphill through the forest of Pine and Rhododendron to the Lamjura La. During this trekking, we pass through the small settlements of Dagchu and Goyem. Lamjura La offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. We, then, descend down to the Junbesi and spend overnight at Junbesi.

Ascending through the forest for an hour we reach the viewpoint from where we can enjoy the magnificent view of the Himalayas. From here we can see the first view of Mount Everest. We also can observe the mountain like Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Thamserku, and other many mountains. The trekking trail descends down to Ringmo Khola. Another two-hour trek up to Trakshindo la and descend to Nuthala ends our journey for today. Overnight at Nunthala.

After having breakfast at the tea house we begin our trekking. We trek downhill to the Dudh Kosi River and continue our trekking following the Dudhkoshi River. Further, we ascend to Jubing and trek through the gentle trail to Church. The rest of the day our trekking trail waves up and down to the settlement of Bupsa. Overnight at Bupsa.

From Bupsa we trek to Karte passing through the forest. We ascend up to Khari la pass where we are rewarded with the majestic view of Gyachung Kang and Khumbilla mountain. Further several ups and downhill take to the Surke. Overnight at Surke.

Today we ascend to the settlement of Chaurikharka. Crossing the mountain rages via high suspension bridges (which are not for the faint-hearted). The track will take us to the first guesthouse, a little village called Phakding where a fire will warm your legs up in preparation for tomorrow’s strenuous trek.

This morning will start early with a gasping climb over 600 meters to Namche Bazaar testing the fittest of trekkers. The hike will begin by crossing over the Dudh Kosi River and follow the East Side of the mountain ranges. Although the walk is testing the track will take you through high mountain ranges with sample views of what you will be rewarded with for the remainder of the trek. It is during this climb to Namche that you will notice the altitude and once reaching the village, tomorrow's rest day will feel well deserved.

Namche is the hub of the Khumbu region and many locals will gather there for the daily markets to trade and sell items. This gives you a great opportunity to explore the center and pick up any last supplies you may need for the rest of the trek. There is also a famous German Bakery here where you can indulge in freshly brewed coffee and cake.
Today is also a good opportunity to walk up to the Everest View Hotel which will not only boost your first views of Mt Everest but will also assist your body in adjusting to the high altitude.

Once exiting Namche, the track winds along with a high mountain range. The first part of today is flat allowing you to take in the remote beauty of the Khumbu region. Whilst walking you will be able to spot Mount Everest nestled into the mountain ranges of Amadabalam, Lotse, and Lotse Sar. The track will then descend to cross a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, allowing you to catch your breath. It is here we will have lunch before ascending for a hard 2hours to a teahouse in Tengboche.
Tengboche holds the largest monastery within this region, if you’re lucky enough to be here during the months of October and November you will have the opportunity to witness the Mani Rimdu festival where there will be masked dancers and Tibetian Opera celebrating the recreation of Buddhist events.

Today will begin descending into Dibuche, passing through the famous Rodrodranden Forest. We will then cross over the Imza Khola and begin a steady climb into Pangbuche. It is here you will really begin to feel the strain of being in high altitude and the pace will be slow. Once we reach Dingboche we will have gained over 450 meters of altitude. Here is the highest point you will notice locals growing vegetables.

Due to the amount of altitude gained from the previous day, we will have an acclimatization/rest day in Dingboche. It gives you the chance to put your feet up and enjoy a rest from yesterday’s climb or alternatively test you’re fitness again and take a two-hour hike to help with the altitude and capture the pure beauty of the Himalayas. This hike offers amazing views of Makalu, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, and Island Peak. If you are after a challenge you can extend your acclimatization hike to reach heights of 5,330 meters – the same height as Everest Base Camp!

Today will begin with an easy climb through the Yak Kharka, which translates to grassland for yaks. Within a few hours, we will reach a small village of Thukla. Although we have only been trekking for a short time it is a good chance to have lunch and prepare for a challenging 1 ½ hour ascent, shortly followed by heavy trekking though the Khumbu Glaciers before reaching Lobuche. It is during this part of the trek we will pass through a memorial commemorating, the missing or deceased climbers and Sherpers of Mount Everest.

Today will start early with a steady up and down trek for 3 hours until we reach Gorakshep. From here we will have a quick lunch before leaving our bags and porters behind to go on a 5 hour round trip to Everest Base Camp. It is today that all your hard trekking will be made worth it as you gaze upon the pure beauty and realization of where you are.

This morning is a great chance to grasp an early morning sunrise on the top of Kala Patter. This mountain is famous for showcasing the best views of Mount Everest. It will also provide excellent views of the Khumbu Glacier and Everest Base Camp. The round trip takes just under 3hours. Once we arrive back to Gorakshep we will have breakfast before heading back down the mountain.

We cross the Khumbu Khola and treks steadily down following the beautiful valley On the way we pass through the settlement of Somare and pangbuche. We cross the river again and walk for half an hour through the forest of rhododendron to Dibuche. It is a small uphill to the Tengboche. Overnight at Tengboche

The trekking to Namche passes through some easy up and downhill. If we are lucky enough we enjoy some wildlife such as mountain goat, snow leopard, and colorful Pheasant. In Namche, we enjoy coffee and cake before we head further. We descend downhill through the pine forest and cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Kosi river. We cross the Dudh Kosi river again for two times before we get the village of Manjo. Overnight at Manjo.

It is an easy day today. We walk through the valley of Dudhkosi. The trekking is mostly through the gentle up and downhill, Cross several suspension bridges. We can enjoy walking through the village and we can observe the daily lifestyle of the inhabitant of Sherpa people. After we get back to Lukla we can look around the town. We can celebrate our last day. Overnight at Lukla.

Early morning we go to the Lukla airport for our flight to Kathmandu. 45 minutes of breathtaking flight with the view of the beautiful scenery of the mountain will take to Kathmandu. We can spend the rest of our day exploring the old Darbar. You can also do some souvenir shopping around Thamel. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner hosted by Open Trail Treks.

Today is the last day of your adventure. After breakfast, if you have time from your flight you can do some shopping or you can go for the sight seen as well. A representative from Open Trail treks drops you to the airport 3 hours before your flight.
